Press release from Longines Global Champions Tour

A head-turning line up of show jumping stars are in action in Ramatuelle, Saint Tropez this week, kick-starting the third leg of the Tour along the French Riviera.

At the head of the pack will be Olivier Robert (FRA), fresh from his LGCT Grand Prix of Madrid win and looking to continue riding his wave of success. He’ll be joined by a world class field with Peder Fredricson (SWE), Max Kühner (AUT), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), Simon Delestre (FRA) and Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) all in action for the third event of the Championship race.

The sparkling Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show (LAOHS) will see the world's top horses and riders head to the legendary Pampelonne Beach with its turquoise waters and enviable blue skies. In total, 80 riders and over 170 horses representing 27 nations, are expected to complete.

Bart Bles (NED) will be looking to capitalise on Scott Brash’s absence this weekend and with just five points separating the two, he will be looking to take the overall Championship lead. Hot on his heels will be Christian Kukuk (GER) who is currently 4th in the rankings and has been on fantastic form recently.

Big names in attendance this weekend will be Harrie Smolders (NED), Shane Breen (IRL), Christian Ahlmann (GER), Ben Maher (GBR), Ludger Beerbaum (GER), Pieter Devos (BEL), Roger-Yves Bost (FRA), Niels Brynseels (BEL), Nicola Philippaerts (BEL), Cindy van der Straten (BEL), Spencer Smith (USA) and Maikel van der Vleuten (NED).

All the action will be streamed on GCTV, featuring analysis, expert commentary and exclusive rider interviews and with world-class action promised once again, it's set to be an exhilarating stop on the Tour.
