Press release from Longine Global Champions Tour, edited by World of Showjumping
The floodlights were shining, the grandstands were packed, and the French Riviera delivered another unforgettable night of top sport as Friday night’s CSI5* Lamborghini Cannes 1.50m jump-off class unfolded in Cannes.
In a thrilling battle against the clock, Yuri Mansur (BRA) stormed to victory aboard Vitiki (Valentino x For Expo), stopping the clock in a blistering 36.17 seconds. Philipp Weishaupt (GER) and Oreo D.R. (Kannan x Balougran) pushed him all the way to claim second in 36.72 seconds, while home favourite Jeanne Sadran (FRA) delighted the French crowd by securing third aboard Dexter de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago x Diamant de Semilly) in 36.94 seconds.
Yuri Mansur could not wipe the smile off his face, as he explained: “I haven’t been to this show since 2019 and I couldn’t be happier to be back. Jumping here in Cannes reminds of being back in Brazil. The support of the crowd makes me want to do better every time. Vitiki owes me nothing, and the test from Uliano suited us perfectly!”
