The French got off to a good start on home soil in La Baule on Thursday, with Aldrick Cheronnet, Patrice Delaveau and Kevin Staut claiming the top three placings in the CSIO5* Prix FFE French Tour Generali 1.50m against the clock.

Aboard the 10-year-old gelding Tanael des Bonnes (Watch Me x Don Pierre), Cheronnet won the 28.000€ class – that also counted for the Longines Ranking. Nearly a second behind the winning time followed Kevin Staut on Elky van het Indihof (Toulon x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve), finishing third.

Fourh place went to Jerome Guery (BEL) on Papillon Z (Perhaps x Cassini), and fifth to Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) on Salomon (Stolzenberg x Aramis).
