Rowan Willis (AUS) and the 12-year-old mare Blue Movie (Chacco Blue x Pilot) made it to the top of Friday's CSIO5* $265,000 Longines Grand Prix of Ocala.
Only three of the 41 horse-and-rider combinations at start managed to produce double clear rounds in this 1.60m class, where it was Willis that was the fastest against the clock when stopping the time at 47.46 seconds to take the first prize of 87.450 USD.
In runner-up position followed Devin Ryan (USA) on the 9-year-old gelding Eddie Blue (VDL Zirocco Blue x Marlon), with a time of 48.17 seconds. Third place went to Rodrigo Lambre (BRA) on the 12-year-old gelding Velini (Cheers Cassini x Kigali) after recording a time of 48.92. seconds.
Laura Kraut (USA) finished fourth with Confu (Contact me x Cambridge), with four faults in the jump-off while Alison Robitaille (USA) was fifth after a time fault in the first round on Ace (Caspar x Irco Polo).
