Ireland’s Conor Swail notched up yet another win with Simba de la Roque (Kannan x Allegreto), when he went to the top in Friday’s 1.45 Preis der Hotellerie in Mannheim. The couple have been on a winning streak the last months, and this was their fifth international win this season. Swail snatched the win as last to go over the two-phase track, stealing it from home rider Marco Kutscher who had been in the lead for the entire class on Balermo (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio I) – eventually having to settle for second.
Third place went to Egypt’s Abdel Said on Hope van Scherpen Donder (Quadrillo x Balou du Rouet ).
