Wednesday's Longines Ranking class in Gijon went to Eric Lamaze and Fine Lady 5 (Forsyth x Drosselklang II) who continue their winning streak together. This was the pair's fourth big win for the 2015 season. It was a 1.50 group classs with a winning round, with a total of twelve riders moving on to chase the clock.
Yet again, Lamaze proved to be unbeatable on the extremely quick 12 year old mare. Almost three seconds faster than runner-up Pedro Veniss from Brazil on Rissoa d'Ag Bois Margot (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Artichaut), the Canadian rider took a very convincing win. Third place went to Abdullah Alsharbatly - winner of the 1.40 class earlier in the day - riding Callahan (Contendro x For Pleasure).
