The Morocco Royal Tour 2022 has moved on to its second leg in Rabat, where the event is held in the facilities of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Sports Federation. While the four-star Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on Friday, the main event in Rabat will be the Nations Cup on Sunday afternoon.

The action got underway on Thursday with the CSIO4*-W 1.45m Prix Wilaya Region Rabat Sale Kenitra, a Grand Prix qualifier counting for the Longines Ranking. Brazil's Francisco Jose Mesquita Musa and Catch Me Marathon (Contagio x Werther) topped the starting field of 59, taking the win with a clear round in a time of 66.38, ahead of Dutch rider Leon Thijssen on For President (Numero Uno x Nimmerdor) with over two seconds separating them.

El Ghali Boukaa (MAR) on A Kyss (Diamant de Semilly x Cabdula du Tillard) placed third, Bernardo Cardoso De Resende Alves (BRA) on Mosito van het Hellehof (Elvis Ter Putte x Nabab de Reve) fourth and Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) on Quark de Preuilly Z (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x unknown) fifth.
