British rider Harry Charles won Saturday's CSIO5* 1.50m Great Land Rover Hunt Jumping in St. Gallen, with Valkiry de Zance (Diamant de Semilly x Double Espoir). Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann and Hera de Landetta (Bustique x Cartano) finished in runner-up position, almost a second behind Charles' time. Then followed four Swiss riders; Marc Röthlisberger with Carlchen (Cosido x Leandro), Bryan Balsiger with Dubai du Bois Pinchet (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Andiamo), Edouard Schmitz with Balenciana (Balou du Rouet x Grosso Z) and Barbara Schnieper with Quick Fire (Quintero x Contender).

Later in the day, the 1.50m MS Direct Group Prize was supposed to include a jump-off, but home rider Edouard Schmitz was the only one to stay clear of the penalty points with Cortino (Coriano x Caretino) in the pouring rain. Germany's Andre Thieme with Crazy Girl (Clinton x Gralshueter) and Alessandra Reich with Loyd (breeding unknown), who lives in Switzerland and competes for Austria, followed in second and third with one time fault each.
