Highlights from the Longines Grand Prix of Falsterbo

Monday, 16 July 2018
CSIO5* Falsterbo 2018

We look back at some of the hightlights from the Longines Grand Prix in Falsterbo: First out the winner Billy Twomey with the only 9-year-old Kimba Flamenco, a horse by Billy's former top partner Je T'Aime Flamenco. All photos (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. A kiss for H&M Christian K, that once again did a great performance to end third in the class - ridden by Peder Fredricson.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Maikel van der Vleuten and Idi Utopia during the jump-off in front of a fully seated Falsterbo.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Bertram Allen and Izzy by Picobello had a great start in the class, but later on they crashed very badly at the triple bar. Luckily both horse and rider seemed to be ok.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. After a misunderstanding during a short turn in the jump-off, Bruce Goodin ended with the feet on the ground and had to leave the course by foot together with the super cool Bäckatorps Danny V.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. The coolest color in the class came from Jens Wickström's Carino BTB.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. The expression of 'I did it' from Kevin Jochems, who finished 6th with Captain Cooper.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. “H&M Indiana is for sure one of the most capable horse I had, she jumps everything very easy but she is not the easiest to handle and I think that suits me well. I’m getting older so I need a bit of a challenge. She is a fighter like no one else and she is such an amazing horse,” Malin Baryard-Johnsson said about her bay mare after finishing 4th in the Grand Prix.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Mark McAuley jumped into a 5th place with Jasco v. Bisshop.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Billy had good reason to smile - taking his third victory during two days.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Full speed in the jump-off for Marcus Westergren and Calmere.

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Peder Fredricson is on unbelievable form!

Photo (c) Jenny Abrahamsson. Last year's Grand Prix winners Steve Guerdat and Hannah had their goal set on repeating the victory - this time they had to settle for the 7th place.
