Naturally, Ludger Beerbaum and his faithful supporter Madeleine Winter-Schulze were extremely happy after the home win in the Grand Prix with Chiara. All photos (c) World of Showjumping.
Full focus from Christian Ahlmann, who made his debut with David Will's former top horse Colorit.
Laura Kraut showed top form in Mannheim. In addition to great rounds in the Nations Cup, she was clear and placed with the promising nine year old Deauville S in both Friday's Grand Prix qualifier and in the Grand Prix.
Switzerland's Chef d'Equipe Andy Kistler gets a little help with the scores.
Beezie Madden and Cortes C impressed again, riding clear from A-Z winning the Nations Cup and then finishing second in the Grand Prix.
Another pair that keeps on impressing, is Janne-Friederike Meyer and the nine year old Goja. The two were clear in Friday's Grand Prix qualifier, and in the first round of the Grand Prix.
Another nine year old that showed off was Lord Pepsi, that jumped a double clear in the Grand Prix with Paul Estermann in the saddle to finish 4th.
Cashmoaker is another nine year old going from strength to strength. In the Grand Prix he jumped a first clear round with Denis Nielsen in the saddle.
After a wonderful and sunny weekend in Mannheim the organizers got their hands full as the weather gods decided to change the weather quite dramatically. After a longer break, and fantastic efforts from the event crew the show could go on - and finished as it started - in sunshine!

Another happy face belonged to Kathi Offel, who finished third in the Grand Prix with Zipper - being very happy with her horse!
Kevin Staut was also all smiles after being awarded as leading rider of the show!
