In Saturday's CSIO5* Runsten Equestrian Trophy, a 1.50m class against the clock, Jur Vrieling (NED) took his 5th win of the weekend at Falsterbo Horse Show. Together with Acascia (Diamant de Semilly x Acord II), it was the third in a row as the pair also won 1.45m classes on Thursday and Friday. Vrieling was also on the winning Dutch team in Friday's FEI Nations Cup with Vdl Glasgow v Merelsnest (Nabab de Reve x Darco) and on Saturday morning he won the second qualification for the 7-year-olds with Curcuma (Casall x unknown).
In today's 1.50m class, the 9-year-old Holsteiner mare Acascia delivered yet another clear round and crossed the finish line in 67.27 seconds – slightly faster than runner-up Emeric George (FRA) with Rocker d’Ysieux (Crown Z x Royal Feu) in 67.38 seconds.
Third place went to Denis Lynch (IRL) with RMF Zecilie (Acolord x Canturo), while Paul Estermann (SUI) followed in 4th riding Curtis Sitte (Ugano Sitte x Chellano Z) and Thomas Ryan (IRL) in 5th riding Quite Zero (Quite Capitol x Landgraf I).
