Thursday's last class at CSIO5* Gijon 2018 ended with victory for Irish rider Paul Kennedy and his homebred mare Cartown Danger Mouse (Harlequin de Carel x unknown). The pair stopped the clock at 66.49 seconds in this 1.50m class against the clock presented by Oquendo, counting for the world ranking. 

Local hero Sergio Alvarez Moya on Carlo 273 (Contender x Cascavelle) placed second stopping the clock at 67.27 while young British rider Harry Charles came third with Victor (Vanoverbeek x Ouche de Muze) with a time of 67.31.
