Denmark's Lars Bak Andersen and the 12-year-old gelding Golden Eye (Golfever Z x Stakkato Gold) won Friday's CSIO4* 1.55m LOTTO Grand Prix under patronage of Minister Sportu i Turystyki – a class counting for the Longines Ranking Group B – at the 2024-edition of Warsaw Jumping in Poland.
Ten horse-and-rider combinations out of a starting field of 50 cleared the 1.55m track set by France's Gregory Bodo and joined the deciding jump-off, where Bak Andersen and Golden Eye were the quickest when stopping the clock on 39.29.
Erika Lickhammer-Van Helmond (SWE) and Koberlina TN (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Verdi TN) finished second after clocking a time of 40.22, while Mel Thijssen (NED) and Imodo (Quasimodo Z x Corland) rounded up the podium in third in 40.44.
Alberto Zorzi (ITA) and Highlight W (Berlin x Clearway) finished fourth with a time of 40.59 seconds, followed by Bronislav Chudyba (SVK) and Statis Conti (Stakkato x Contender) in fifth in 41.26.
