Francois Mathy Jr. (BEL) won the 1.50m Prize de MS Direct Group AG in St. Gallen on Saturday. The Belgian rider was one of ten with a double clear round, fastest in the jump-off with a time of 36,61 seconds. Mathy rode the 9-year-old Casanova de l’Herse (Ugano Sitte x Kashmir van Schuttershof).
With as many as the ten double clears in the class, it turned into a race against the clock. Bertram Allen (IRL) went into runner-up position, when he and Dino W (Berlin x L’amour Z) finished the shortened course in 37,05 seconds. Aldrick Cheronnet (FRA) ended third with Tanael des Bonnes (Watch Me*hoy x Don Pierre) ahead of Angelie von Essen (SWE) with Cochella (Cartani x Lord) and Gregory Wathelet (BEL) with Mjt Nevados S (Calvados Z x Romualdo).
Later during the day Emilio Bicocchi made sure that Italy got yet another win when he ended on top of the 1,45m Speed and Handiness Longines CSIO Schweiz riding Call Me (Contendro II x Julio Mariner xx). Yuri Mansur (BRA) with Chaganus (Chacco-Blue x Carthago) ended second ahead of Steve Guerdat (SUI) with Albfuehren’s Happiness (Heartbeat x Lambrusco Ask), Nadja Peter Steiner (SUI) with Capuera II (Come On x Baloubet du Rouet) and Philipp Züger (SUI) with Lykkeshoejs Castus (Casir Ask x Carano).
