Switzerland's Pius Schwizer took home the biggest victory of the day as CSIO5* Jumping Lummen kicked off on Thursday. Riding the 11-year-old gelding Leonard de la Ferme CH (Landjuweel x Indigene de Corday), Schwizer galloped to the win in this 1.50m speed class stopping the clock at 68.05 seconds to take home the 6.250,00 EUR first prize.
Two home riders followed in second and third: Olivier Philippaerts crossed the finish line in 69.88 seconds on Ikker (Ogano Sitte x Up to Date), while Jerome Guery's time on Papillon Z (Perhaps x Cassini) was 70.17 seconds.
Italy's Paolo Paini finished fourth, and Spain's Pilar Lucrecia Cordon fifth.
