Santiago Lambre was the winner of the biggest class on the opening day at the CSIO5* in Sopot on Thursday. Aboard Rahmannshof Before (Tenerife VDL x Matterhorn) the Mexican rider was the fastest of 28 clear riders as he literally left his breaks by the entrance. Closest to Lambre came Ferenc Szentirmal from Ukraine, but not even Quickdiamond (Quick Lauro Z x Catango) was fast enough and crossed finish line 0,81 seconds behind the winner. Third place went to another speedy rider, Michael Whitaker and Viking (Jacomar x Almox Prints) representing Britain.
