This week, the annual Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final will be staged at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona and some of the world's very best horses and riders will be heading for Spain.
Germany, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, United Arab Emirates, United States, Great Britain, Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden and Spain as the hosting team, will compete in the sixth Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final.
The United States, Sweden and Germany — gold, silver and bronze medallists from the World Equestrian Games in Tryon — will compete in Barcelona and try to wrestle the title from Netherlands, winner of the final in 2017.
The competition will begin on Friday October 5th with the first qualifying round, from which the best eight teams will move on to the final on Sunday October 7th. The other ten teams will compete in the Longines Challenge Cup on Saturday October 6th.
Besides of the Nations Cup Final, the CSIO Barcelona will also host three other individual competitions including the prestigious Queen’s Cup Segura Viudas Trophy which celebrates its 40th edition this year.
