Rotterdam is the host for the next stage of the 2016 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Europe Division 1, taking place the coming Friday. 

The host nation Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Switzerland and Sweden are allocated to pick up points in Rotterdam and field strong teams at the CSIO5* event. USA is using the show as an observation event for a selection of those riders on their Rio-short list and will also have a star-studded team present, as will Belgium and Germany although neither are eligible for points in Rotterdam. 

Harrie Smolders and Emerald N.O.P., Jur Vrieling and VDL Zirocco Blue N.O.P., Willem Greve and Carambole N.O.P., Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Verdi TN N.O.P. as well as Leopold van Asten and VDL Groep Zidane N.O.P. are on the team for the hosts. 

France is currently in the lead of Europe Division 1, while Netherlands sits second and Great Britain third.
