Ahead of the Olympic individual qualifier in Versailles, 90 jumping horses were presented and 89 were accepted as 'fit to compete' by an inspection panel led by Ground Jury President Frances Hesketh-Jones on Saturday afternoon.

The Spanish team saw two horses sent to the holding box: Eduardo Alvarez Aznar's Rokfeller de Pleville (L’arc De Triomphe x Apache D'adriers) was accepted on the second try, while Ismael Garcia Roque's Tirano (Chacco-Blue x Action-Breaker) did not return and will be presented again during Sunday morning's re-inspection.

Andres Azcarraga's (MEX) 17-year-old Contendros 2 (Contendro I x Drosselklang II) – a horse that failed the first horse inspection, as well as re-inspection, ahead of the team competition – was now accepted as 'fit to compete' individually.

The competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Versailles continues on Monday, 5 August, with the individual qualifier and concludes on Tuesday, 6 August, with the individual final. Ahead of the individual qualifier, a training session will be held on Sunday, 4 August.
