All the jumping horses passed the second veterinary inspection at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, ahead of Friday’s team qualifier.

Nineteen teams trotted up their horses on Thursday: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Great Britain, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Morocco, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Sweden and USA.

Great Britain, Ireland, Israel and Japan only showed three of their four horses. Both Great Britain and Ireland have already announced pre-competition changes to their teams; Scott Brash’s Jefferson has sustained a minor strain, while Cian O’Connor has decided to not jump Kilkenny after the gelding had a nosebleed towards the end of the course in Wednesday’s individual final. Unfortunately, Israel's Dani G. Waldman has also withdrawn from the team competition as her horse Queensland has been found to not be in top shape.

The team selections are expected to be announced later tonight after the Chef d’Equipe-meeting.
