The defending European Champion from Rotterdam 2019 now leads the way going into Sunday's individual final, sitting on top of the standings on only 1.31 penalty points. On 2.84 follows Germany's own Andre Thieme with DSP Chakaria (Chap 47 x Askari), while Belgium's Pieter Devos sits third on 3.16 with Jade vd Bisschop (Ogano Sitte x Grannus). Greek rider Ioli Mytilineou is the youngest in the top five with her 24 years, and has only recorded 3.64 penalty points with her stallion Levis de Muze (Elvis Ter Putte x Tinka's Boy) over the three rounds of competition. Rank five is Sweden's Peder Fredricson with Catch Me Not S (Cardento x Ramiro's Son), on a score of 4.46.
It is extremely tight in the top ten, France's Olivier Robert follows on 5.20, Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts on 5.28, Germany's Christian Kukuk on 5.93, Switzerland's Bryan Balsiger on 6.01 and Steve Guerdat on 6.15.
The 25 best ranked riders after three days of jumping are qualified for Sunday's individual final, which is ridden over two rounds. After round one, the best twelve horse-and-rider combinations continue to round two.
On Saturday evening, a second horse inspection will take place to ensure that the horses qualified for the final are fit to compete.
