It has really been a roller coaster ride for Austria's Alessandra Reich. She had great first round, followed by a second round where her horse Loyd put on the breaks already ahead on the start line to eventually end on 17 faults, but managed to turn it all around to finish on only nine faults in round three.
After sitting third ahead of the last round of the team final, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson had to see eight faults on the score board as he left the ring. "Ermindo made one mistake and I the other. The mistake Ermindo made is just due to lack of experience and he won't have a fault like that when he gets more milage. And if I ride a few more years, I might not have the mistake I made at the last fence," Rolf said to the Swedish media after the class.
When Peder Fredricson and Catch Me Not S only had one horse left to go, a carriage for the prize giving turned up outside the warm-up. This was clearly not Catch Me Not's favourite thing in the world and made him very unsettled. Still the two kept their focus, delivered a great clear round and are now 5th ahead of the individual final.
