With only four faults from the final round at Lake Arena during the European Junior Championships in Austria, Camille Conde Ferreira secured her individual gold medal Sunday with Pirole de la Chatre (Flipper d’Elle x Prince Ig’or). The French rider had a total of 6,94 penalties after four rounds and beat silver medallists Harry Charles (GBR) and Vivaldi du Dom (Casall x Veneur du Prelet) by 0,56 points. Millie Allen (GBR) and Balou Star (Balou du Rouet x Quick Star) secured their bronze medal with a total of 9,67 points.
Germany took home the gold medal in the team competition with a total of eight penalties. Their winning team included Christoph Maack with Dyleen (D’Olympic x Grafenstein), Theresa Ripke with Calmado (Casall x Landadel), Philip Houston with Kanella (Kannan x Quick Star) and Leonie Krieg with Champerlo (Counter x Lasino).
The silver and bronze medals were decided after a jump-off between Ireland and Great Britain with Ireland drawing the longest straw producing three clear rounds. On the Irish team were Philip Carey, Susan Fitzpatrick, Anna Carway and Comac Hanley. The British bronze riders were Faye Adams, Harry Charles, Robert Murphy and Millien Allen.
