For the second time in history, two women won the German Championships. Held this weekend in Balve, Germany, 23-year-old Laura Klaphake won the German Championship for women after being the only one to clear all three rounds riding Silverstone G.

The silver medal went to Angelique Rüsen with Carlson 86 after having four faults in the first round, while Vanessa Borgmann took the bronze medal riding Caspar 227 after four faults in the third round.

In the German Championships for men and women, Simone Blum with DSP Alice – last year’s winners of the Championship for women – ended up with another gold medal. Blum cleared all the fences throughout the four rounds, but carried 0,25 penalties from the very first round.

The silver medal went to Holger Hetzel with Legioner 2 with 0,75 penalties from the first round, and the bronze medal to Rolf Moormann with Samba de Janeiro 3 – carrying four faults from the first round.
