Andreas Kreuzer was crowned 2016 German Champion this weekend riding Calvilot (Calvaro Z x Quilot). The championship goes over four rounds - with two rounds per day - and a jump-off for the ones with the best score.
Three riders ended all four rounds with a total of four faults, and went against the clock in the jump-off. Kreuzer finished the shortened course in 40.33 seconds, while runner-up Christian Hess with Bastian 86 (Utopie x C-Indoctro) crossed the finish line in 42.26 seconds. Philipp Weishaupt had to see a pole fall with L.B. Convall (Colman x Cascavelle), and had to settle for the bronze medal.
On Saturday, the final in the German Championship for women took place with Simone Blum taking the gold medal. Blum rode Alice 355 (Askari x Landrebell), and was one of the two riders that went clear all the way finishing with a jump-off. With 46.34 seconds, Blum was way faster than silver medalist Angelique Rüsen that finished the jump-off in 49.52 seconds riding Charity 33 (Cayetano L x C-Indoctro).
Kendra Claricia Brinkop with A la Carte NRW (Abke x Lux) took the bronze medal.
