Ahead of the individual final at the FEI Jumping European Championship 2023 in Milan, Italy, a second horse inspection took place on Saturday afternoon and all 24 horses that trotted up were accepted.
After a rest day on Saturday, the individual final on Sunday is conducted over two rounds – both set at max. 1.60m and each judged under Table A not against the clock. Starting in reverse order, the first of the two rounds is compulsory for the 25 best-placed pairs, while the second round is open to the best twelve.
As three horse-and-rider-combinations within the top 25 ahead of Sunday – Emanuele Camilli (ITA) and Odense Odeveld, Jana Wargers (GER) and Limbridge, as well as Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Leone Jei – will not be jumping in the individual final, Mathias Nørheden Johansen (DEN) and Franco 79 (Firth of Lorne x Coronas) as well as Denis Lynch (IRL) and Vistogrand (Fantaland x Mr Visto) have moved into the starting field.
