The Longines FEI Jumping European Championship 2025 kicked off on Tuesday morning at Casas Novas Equestrian Centre in A Coruña, Spain, with the first horse inspection.

A total of 90 horses were presented, with 88 of them accepted and deemed fit to compete – Christoph Obernauer’s (AUT) Kleons Renegade (Quintero x Stakkato) and Kim Emmen’s (NED) Imagine N.O.P. (Cassini Gold x Lord Z) did not pass. While Kleons Renegade was subsequently withdrawn, Imagine N.O.P. returned for re-inspection on Wednesday morning and got the green light after trotting up again.

The first competition of the 2025 Europeans takes place on Wednesday, starting at 15.00 CET, and is conducted over a big Table A course set at a max. of 1.50m and judged under Table C, without a jump-off in the event of equality for the first place.

A total of 89 horse-and-rider combinations from 23 nations will compete in the first round, and 18 countries are fielding teams. They will today jump in the following order: 1. Portugal; 2. Netherlands; 3. Spain; 4. France; 5. Hungary; 6. Israel; 7. Germany; 8. Switzerland; 9. Austria; 10. Poland; 11. Denmark; 12. Norway; 13. Great Britain; 14.
