Germany’s Christian Kukuk had a bad fall with Carilot after the open water obstacle in the Turkish Airlines Prize of Europe at CHIO Aachen yesterday and has been diagnosed with a broken shoulder. According to St-George, Ludger Beerbaum’s stable jockey broke his shoulder on three different places.

Christian Kukuk’s mount Carilot seemed to hesitate while he was jumping over the water obstacle and could not land on his feet, so both rider and horse fell to the ground. Carilot remained unharmed, but Christian Kukuk landed badly on the ground. Further examination will tell how long Christian Kukuk will be injured, but a recovery of multiple weeks is expected.

The team of World of Showjumping wishes Christian Kukuk and his team a speedy recovery!
