Germany's Daniel Deusser and the 13-year-old stallion Bingo Ste Hermelle (Number One d'Iiso x Diamant de Semilly) took the top honours in Saturday's CSIO5* 1.50m Suncor Winning Round at the 2024-edition of Spruce Meadows 'Masters' in Calgary, Canada.
Ten horse-and-rider combinations proceeded to the winning round where the German rider secured the victory with a time of 49.46 seconds, followed by Matthew Sampson (GBR) and Fabrice DN (Gelha's VDL Emilion x Baloubet du Rouet) in second in 50.28, while Donald Whitaker (GBR) and Ulania 3 (Uriko x Acord II) placed third after stopping the clock on 51.26.
A fence down in 47.54 left Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Looping Luna (Lord Fauntleroy x Calido) to fourth, while Ben Maher (GBR) and Enjeu de Grisien (Toulon x Animo) finished fifth with four faults in 49.61.
