Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs will replace Ireland’s Conor Swail in the 2024-edition of the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final – scheduled for Friday 13 December at CHI Geneva.
Unfortunately, Swail has been forced to withdraw as the cargo flight booked to transport his horses to Europe has been cancelled with no alternative solutions found.
"Disappointed to no longer be heading to @chigeneve this week to compete in the Top-10 Final due to an unfortunate flight cancellation for my horses," Swail wrote on social media. "It’s an incredible honor to be invited to compete at this show, especially after so much hard work this year from my horses and team. Sights set on Geneva 2025. Wishing @martinfuchs_official, and the rest of the riders competing in the Top-10 Final the best of luck."
Fuchs was 11th on the world ranking no. 286, the list used to determine which riders get to compete in this year’s edition of the Top 10 Final, and was hence first in line to move up. Fuchs has competed in five previous editions of the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final, and plans to jump Leone Jei in what will be his 6th appearance in this prestigious annual competition.
