Friday was an evening to remember at the 2025 Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ in Calgary, Canada. Under the lights, 12 horse-and-rider combinations entered the fan favourite ATCO Electric Six Bar.

Six fences, progressing in height after each round - it’s a true testament of skill and bravery. History was made, with the record height of 2.12m set in 2004 by Jessica Kürten (IRL) and Castle Forbes Libertina broken by not one, but two pairs; Vaclav Stanek (CZE) on Quintin (Quaprice Bois Margot x Gelha’s VDL Emilion) and Joseph Stockdale (GBR) aboard It’s Confidential (Conthargos x Cardento 933) both cleared the final fence set at 2.13m.

For Stockdale, the win was extra special, as his father Tim won the same competition in 2011.
