The 2015 Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final takes place tonight in Geneva, and as the title of the class suggests it is open to the ten best riders on the world ranking. The first Top 10 Final took place in 2001, and this is the 15th edition of the competition.
For Ludger Beerbaum, it will be his 12th Top 10 Final – which means that the 52-year-old rider now matches Marcus Ehning’s record on the number of times a rider has participated in the final.
While Ludger has plenty of experience in this prestigious class, it will be 20-year-old Bertram Allen's debut and World of Showjumping quickly caught up with the Irish rider on how it feels to be taking part in this competition.
"Competing in the Top 10 Final is definitely a bigger deal than any other normal class, with the build-up towards it. It would be a dream to win it, and I'm already delighted to be just able to be in it," Bertram says.
As to his biggest competitor, Bertram says: "Every one in the final can win the class and I guess Scott obviously will be the favorite again!"
The Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final can be watched online on the organizer’s website or on the IJRC’s website. The final starts at 20.15 CET.
