Two arenas, 23 classes, including three counting for the Longines Rankings, young horse and amateur competition, stables located in comfortable fair pavilions and CAVALIADA Horse Auction – this is the brief of the CAVALIADA Poznan program, held from 15 to 18 December of this year.

Since 2010, when Grupa MTP introduced the CAVALIADA brand, the event organized at the Poznań International Fair attracts more and more competitors.

The list of CAVALIADA's riders includes world-class jumpers such as: Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), Martin Fuchs (SUI), Pius Schwizer (SUI), Jur Vrieling (NED), Philipp Weishaupt (GER), Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SWE), Michael Whitaker (GBR), Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), Marco Kutscher (GER) or Janika Sprunger (SUI), who won the CAVALIADA Grand Prix CSI4* in 2019 with King Edward, who is now ridden by the world champion himself.

CAVALIADA in Poznań is the largest of the four locations of the tour. There will be four categories of the competition: CSI3* -W, CSIYH1*, CSI1* and CSIAm-A.

Throughout the indoor season, athletes taking part in the CAVALIADA Tour collect ranking points. The final of the tour takes place simultaneously with the final of the Central European League of the World Cup in Cracow. CAVALIADA Tour is the only series of indoor competitions authorized by the FEI in this part of Europe.

Three-star rivalry

Three rounds (from 135 to 160 cm) will be part of the three-star competition. The program includes three ranking classes. These are: Friday's Big Tour (150 cm) counting for the CAVALIADA Tour, Saturday's Medium Tour Final (145 cm), and Sunday’s PKO Bank Polski Grand Prix. The latter belongs to the higher Longines ranking group (C - 80 points for the winner) and, additionally, to the Central European League of the World Cup, as well as to the CAVALIADA Tour.

Emotion-filled competition

The program will also include additional competitions of a spectacular nature: Puissance and Speed & Music, as well as a relay race in which children on ponies compete alongside more experienced star athletes. Apart from showjumping, the program is completed by four-in-hand driving, dressage, eventing, and vaulting. Another attraction is the Expo Zone, which houses the largest Fair of Equestrian Equipment and Accessories in Poland. For the comfort of our guests, there is a VIP Hospitality area with stands and a table lounge.

Rising stars

Two arenas at CAVALIADA Poznan allow the organizers to also play out a CSIYH competition for 6- and 7-year-old horses, as well as the CSI1* with a Small (120-125 cm) and Big Tour (130-135 cm).

Sport and breeding come together

On Friday, after the end of the Puissance, the second edition of CAVALIADA Horse Auction will be held, starting at 9:00 PM. It is an auction of 2-and 3-year-old jumping youngsters (born in 2019 and 2020), registered in Polish and foreign stud books.

In last year's debut of the event, all the horses were sold, and the average auction price was EUR 20,500. The highest priced horse was Cordian (Cornet Obolensky x Quidam De Revel), bred by Marek Wąsiewicz – EUR 45 000. The interest in this year's edition among breeders guarantees even better quality of horses.
