From Marlon Modolo Zanotelli's Longines FEI Jumping World Cup victory with VDL Edgar M on Saturday night to Cocaine du Val making Gregory Cottard's childhood dreams come true with a home win in the Audi Grand Prix on Sunday, the 2023-edition of Jumping International de Bordeaux truly lived up to their slogan of the year; celebrating 50 years of emotions.

“I think there is a bit of both,” Edouard Schmitz – who also placed second in the World Cup in Amsterdam last weekend – said when asked if he felt frustrated or happy with another runner-up position. “Of course, when you go into a jump-off, you go to win, and so on that side the goal was not attained today, but my bigger goal was to qualify for the final in Omaha, and the way it looks with the points after today, it starts to look very good – so I am very pleased about that."
Henrik von Eckermann and Iliana picked up a third place finish in Sunday's Audi Grand Prix.
A solid weekend for Germany's Daniel Deusser, who won Friday's Prix FFE Generali with Bingo Ste Hermelle, placed 6th in the World Cup with Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z and 5th in the Audi Grand Prix with Bingo Ste Hermelle.
“Coming to Bordeaux was stressful,” Gregory Cottard explained after his win in the Audi Grand Prix. “It took me a day to relax and find my concentration. I have a special relationship with this show."
Celebrating 50 years of emotions, the 2023-edition of Jumping International de Bordeaux could not have had a more fitting end than a French victory in Sunday afternoon’s Audi Grand Prix.
