Great Britain's Ellen Whitaker and the 9-year-old mare Korlenski (Cornet Obolensky x Numero Uno) won Friday’s CSI4* 1.50m Ashford Trophy Big Tour at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.

Counting for the Longines Ranking Group D, the class had 69 horse-and-rider combinations in it and 18 of them delivered clear rounds. Fastest was Whitaker who stopped the clock on 67.62 seconds; a time no one could match. Closest came Derin Demirsoy (TUR) and O’Kannarock (Rock’n Roll Semilly x Kannan) who slotted into second after clocking a time of 69.03. The third place went to Marie Demonte (FRA) and Epona du Quesnoy (Ogrion des Champs*HN x Nabab de Reve) with a time of 70.44, followed by Abdelrahman Ikram (EGY) and Graduate HBC (Cantos x Sandro Boy) in fourth, and Yves Vanderhasselt (BEL) and Nikita van de Koekelberg (Loro Piana Filou de Muze x VDL Cardento) in fifth.

With a time of 60.50 seconds, Lewicki bested a field of 42 horse-and-rider-combinations – taking the win ahead of two British riders as Tabitha Kyle (GBR) and Desterly (Tolan R x Murano) finished second in 61.50, followed by William Whitaker (GBR) and Chacco's Lando (Chacco-Blue x Lando) in third in 61.77. Jessica Burke (IRL) and Express Trend (Future Trend x Condios) finished fourth in 62.99 seconds, and Marie Demonte (FRA) aboard Forban de Beliard (Upsilon x Diamant de Semilly) fifth in 63.45.
