It’s been three years since five innovative equestrian entrepreneurs conceived the idea of hosting a golf tournament specifically for individuals within the equestrian sector and those connected to this community. Their shared passion for golf unveiled a surprising revelation: many riders also harbored a deep enthusiasm for the sport.

On Monday September 23, the first edition of the Riders Cup will take place at the prestigious Golf and Country Club Geijsteren in the Netherlands, conveniently located just 20 minutes from Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. This event, aptly named with a playful nod to the renowned Ryder Cup—a celebrated golf competition between America and Europe—promises a day of spirited competition.

Participants will enjoy an 18-hole game set in a stunning wooded environment, with the format being Texas Scramble. Each flight will comprise four players, each team donning their unique team attire, ready to take on the challenge against their peers. Prizes include a magnificent saddle from Amerigo or Equipe valued at €4,000 for a hole-in-one, alongside awards for the longest drive and nearest to the pin. Of course, a huge trophy for the winning team will be presented by our title sponsor Horse Service International (HSI) your partner for International horse transportation. A number of International riders already secured their spot in this prestigious tournament.    

This event aims to blend relaxation with a competitive spirit, perfectly suited to the diverse array of international riders already registered. Following the tournament, attendees can look forward to a delightful dinner and a festive evening to celebrate the day’s achievements. The available shuttle service bring you back to your hotel.
