In the 9th edition of The Youngsters Auction, 23 showjumping talents will be auctioned coming Tuesday 15 October at Waaij Stud in Eemnes, The Netherlands. Auctioneer Louis De Cleene will be in charge of the biddings, both live on site and online. The VIP is nearly sold out, so be quick to reach out for the last available seats. “We have lots of interest for the collection from all over the world and we are thrilled for the auction on Tuesday”, Peter van der Waaij states on behalf of the organization.

A selection of ten promising 3-year-old horses as well as thirteen 5- to 7-year-old horses has been made. The ridden horses have all been available for trials and on Monday 14 October, customers have their final chance to try out these exciting showjumpers. On Tuesday, all auction horses will again be presented in the live presentation; the 3-year-olds will be loose jumping, the older horses will be jumping under saddle. “We really stand behind our collection and our customer base is known to be consisting of real horse people. They like to see the horses in the flesh and we would like them to get the ultimate feel before they bring out their bids. Obviously, the presentation and the auction can also be followed online via ClipMyHorse.TV”, Peter van der Waaij explains.

Successful references all over the globe

Founded in 2018, The Youngsters Auction has sold over 200 horses worldwide and the oldest references are now 11 years of age. Grand Prix horses such as Je T’Aime Z (Karel Cox), Calvin Z (Sofia Westborg), Charlie Red Wine (Simon Schröder), Leicester (Nicole Walker), Jikke-Cara (Alison Firestone), Kaprisch (Juan Serra), Pablo van de Donkhoeve (Kessy van Berlo), Lady O (Vincent Lambrecht) are some examples of successful references, but many more future stars are climbing the ranks.

One example is Magnolia WS – homebred by Waaij Stud and top-seller of the 3-year-olds in 2020. Then sold to Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Christoph Zimmermann, and now in ownership of Stefan Morssinkhof and highly successfully ridden by Skye Morssinkhof. “She is with us now for a couple of months and she has been very consistent. Magnolia is a very scopey mare, very careful and above all she has a great mindset. I am very excited to see what the future holds for her and I am sure we are going to see her at the top level of the sport very soon”, Skye Morssinkhof tells about her 7-year-old talent, who delivered already many consecutive clear rounds at international level since forming their new partnership.
