Nearly 30 countries from all over the world were represented by athletes competing for trophies and financial prizes during CAVALIADA Poznań 2024. On the grounds of the Poznań International Fair, fans had the opportunity to see competitions in show jumping, driving, dressage and eventing. The prize pool reached EUR 260,000.
CAVALIADA Poznań 2024, the second stage of CAVALIADA Tour 2024-2025, has come to an end. Two arenas of the Poznań International Fair saw 600 horses and riders from 30 countries. During these four days, 46 classes were played out
The PKO Bank Polski Grand Prix, concluding the show jumping competition at CAVALIADA Poznań 2024, ended with the victory of Ireland's Harry Allen riding CALCULATUS. The competition was a World Cup Central European League qualifier and counted towards the FEI and CAVALIADA Tour rankings. "Harry Allen is definitely a rising star. In Poznań he proved he is among the world's best. The riders had to expect that it would not be an easy competition. The jump-off required a strong strategy," comments Szymon Tarant, CAVALIADA Sport Director.
Ten pairs qualified for the jump-off. Only three of them scored a “double clear”. The winner was the Irishman Harry Allen aboard CALCULATUS. The next places on the podium went to Dutch riders, Hessel Hoekstra and COMTHAGO VDL and Megan Laseur with KWANTA KOSTA PR.
"CALCULATUS gave his all today, I am very proud of him. All four days of CAVALIADA have been fantastic. The horses have very good conditions, we feel very comfortable here," said Harry Allen, winner of Sunday's Grand Prix, after the class.
The best home rider in the competition was Hubert Polowczyk with M BLUE'S BOY Z placing 16th and finishind with four penalties. The CAVALIADA Tour 2024-2025 ranking is still led by Dennis Van Den Brink, with Belgian representative Gudrun Petteet sitting in second place and Ireland’s Matt Garrigan in third. In fourth place is currently the highest ranked Pole, Mściwoj Kiecoń.
The final day of CAVALIADA Poznań started with the RESPECT ENERGY Open Tour competition. The winner was Hanna Kosińska riding STORMER VAN HET BEVRIJDTHOF. Second place went to Zuzanna Michalska with NEILO and third to Alina Dziamska riding OKARYNA DZ.
In the final of the Youngster Tour for six- and seven-year-olds, the winner was Belgium’s Thibeau Spits with CLOVERLY DH Z. Latvia’s Kristupas Petraitis and CHEROKEE PROMISE were second, and third place went to Angelos Touloupis from Greece and QACHICA. In the final of the five-year-old category, the winner was Szymon Stasiak from Poland with NOBEL VAN HET VINCKENHOF Z. The second place of the podium was taken by Marcin Bętkowski with NAPOLEON VAN HET MEZENHOF Z, and Weronika Kosińska and PRINCE finished third.
The Last Chance competition ended with the win of Marek Lewicki and LA PEZI, second place went to Estonia’s My Relander and EXPERT, and third to Jan Bobik and CZUMI GR.
During the children's CAVALIADA Future competition, Paulina Stawiarska and TANGO were victorious in the Midi category. Second place was taken by Ignacy Luboński and JACOB, and third by Sara Wnuczko and LISBERGS PRINCE MICHAEL. In the Midi category, Maja Głoskowska and WEDOG PRIDE N JOY triumphed for the second day in a row. The trophy for second place went to Milena Rąbca and RÓŻA, and for third place to Jan Mordzelewski and FARAON.
Saturday's stage of the Bawaria Motors Driving Tour ended with a win for Aleksander Fularczyk, who showed off his extraordinary precision and speed. The audience gathered in the stands did not spare him any applause for his dynamic round. Sunday brought a new set of challenges, with Rafał Paszyński standing on the highest step of the podium.
In the dressage competition, Lena Hassmann and CHERE CELINE OLD were the winners in both of the classes. The rider is now the leader of the CAVALIADA Apart Dressage Tour ranking.
The much-loved competition that is the CAVALIADA Eventing Tour once again brought the audiences unforgettable emotions. During the third stage, the first place went to Joanna Pawlak and ARMIN DE MONSIEUR. The fourth leg belonged to Paweł Warszawski and the mare FUERTA, who delighted the fans with their dynamic and precise rides. Both riders proved that the rivalry at the highest level is their forte.
