Shanghai lit up on day two of the Longines Global Champions Tour 2025 as Daniel Deusser (GER) and Otello de Guldenboom (Tobago Z x Caretino) delivered a breathtaking performance in Saturday's CSI5* 1.50m jump-off class presented by LAO FENG XIANG.

Riding the electric 11-year-old Otello de Guldenboom, Deusser – first to go in the jump-off – laid down an unbeatable time of 39.98, slicing every corner with precision and daring every inside line. His fearless round held strong against a stacked field, earning him a second victory of the weekend and sparking a roar of approval from the local crowd.

Speaking to GCTV after his win, Deusser said: “Today I didn’t have the best position to go first in the competition and then first in the jump-off. I tried to take a certain risk to put a little bit of pressure on the others that followed, and it was just enough!”

Peter Grant’s (CAN) track demanded perfection, and the elite field rose to the challenge. While Deusser put down a formidable time as first to go, forcing the 16-strong field in the jump-off to dig deep for the win, Gilles Thomas (BEL) ultimately settled for second with Elfra van Beek Z (El Salvador x Vagabond de La Pomme). France's former world number one Simon Delestre once again proved his consistency with a brilliant round aboard Golden Boy DK (Diamant de Semilly x Cash), clinching third.
