Edited press release from FEI
The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final and the FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final 2027 will be organised in Gothenburg (SWE). The decision was taken by the FEI Board at its monthly teleconference on 6 May.
The Gothenburg Horse Show, first held in 1977, has deep connections with the most prestigious FEI indoors series. Gothenburg played host to the first FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in 1979 as well as the inaugural FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final 10 years later in 1989.
Other key allocations made by the Board include the FEI Jumping European Championships 2027 to Waregem (BEL).
“The allocation of major FEI Finals and Championships for 2027 and 2028 is very good news and demonstrates a healthy interest in hosting major FEI events,” FEI President Ingmar De Vos said. “We are very happy to return to a historical venue such as Gothenburg, which has hosted the FEI World Cup Finals in Jumping and Dressage on multiple occasions and has a proven record of excellence at the Scandinavium Arena. In 2027 the Gothenburg Horse Show will be celebrating its 50th anniversary and it will be a memorable occasion since an FEI Vaulting World Cup Final will be organised in Sweden for the first time. The FEI Jumping European Championships in Waregem as well as the FEI Dressage and Para Dressage Championships in Randboel will be central to the FEI calendar for 2027 as the participating NFs will have the opportunity to earn quota places for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. I would like to thank all the Organisers and National Federations for their support in the organisation of these key events. We are looking forward to close and productive cooperation in the coming years.”
