For the past two decades, Holger Hetzel has hosted the renowned International Sport Horse Sales at his equestrian centre in the Rhenish town of Goch. The event has earned an international reputation for offering top show jumpers to both the national and global markets. On 26 November, the 20th-anniversary edition will once again present exceptional horses in the auction ring. This year’s catalogue features 21 horses, ranging from promising young talents to accomplished Grand Prix competitors. Reflecting on 20 years of success, Holger Hetzel shares his perspective: “I think the main reason is satisfied customers. We would never have been successful with a private auction for more than two decades if our customers hadn’t been entirely happy with their purchases. That’s why we go to great lengths to select the right horses and train them properly. We also do our best to ensure that each horse is a perfect match for the customer or exactly what they asked for. Another measure of customer satisfaction is the many regular clients from Germany and abroad who return to our auction every year."
