Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) and Fusario d’Boissailles (Ogrion des Champs x Calido) emerged victorious in Friday’s CSI4* 1.50m Mâconnaise des Eaux by Véolia in Mâcon Chaintré, France.
“I had a good feeling with Fusario and I thought he was in great form, so I chose to enter him for this class after his excellent third place yesterday,” Modolo Zanotelli said in a press release from Jumping International de Mâcon Chaintré. “I watched the other competitors before me in the jump-off. I know my horse is very careful, so I knew that for the roll-back in front of the vertical over the water jump, I could turn very sharply. I think it was there, and also in the long gallops, that I was able to save precious seconds.”
John Whitaker (GBR) and Equine America Unick du Francport (Zandor Z x Helios de la Cour II) placed second, followed by Niklaus Rutschi (SUI) on Amar des Brimbelles Z (Amadeus Z x Russel) in third, Cedric Angot (FRA) aboard Harmony de Grandry (Lifestyle x Mylord Carthago) in fourth and David Melin (FRA) aboard Delta de L’Autrot (Tinka’s Boy x Calvaro Z) in fifth.
