The Duncan Ross Cup 1.50m served as Saturday's feature CSI5* competition on the All Canada Ring at the Spruce Meadows 'Continental'. Designed by FEI Course Designer Tom Holden (IRL), the challenging first-round track featured 12 obstacles and 15 jumping efforts, with athletes required to complete the course within the 75s time allowed.

Of the starting field, six horse/rider combinations produced fault-free rounds and advanced to the jump-off, setting the stage for an exciting race against the clock.

Coming all the way from across the pond, Donald Whitaker – who rode for the 2025 BMO Nations’ Cup winning team – of Great Britain delivered a flawless jump-off performance aboard Solenska VD Messidor (Cornet Obolensky x Elvis Ter Putte), stopping the clock in 36.85 seconds to secure the victory.

Second place went to fellow Briton and cousin Robert Whitaker and Equine America Gentlemen vh Veldhof (Quite Easy x Calido I), while Canada's Amy Millar and Jagger HX (Ustinov x Bustique) completed the podium with a strong third-place finish.

Tomorrow marks the final day of the Spruce Meadows 'Continental'—join us for a full day of world-class sport and family entertainment. Don't miss the feature competitions on the All Canada Ring: the Canadian Utilities Cup 1.45m and the CSI5* 1.60m AKITA Drilling Grand Prix, presented by Rolex.
