British rider Jessica Mendoza has taken over the ride on Eric van Vleuten’s former ride Wan Architect. The now twelve-year-old ride has been away from the European circuit since 2013 and has competed in America and Canada during 2014 under Brenda Riddell and Francie Steinwedell-Carvin. Together with van der Vleuten, Wan Architect was a part of the winning Dutch team in the Nations Cup in Al Ain in 2013, they won the 3* Grand Prix in Drammen and were placed in the 5* Grand Prix in s'Hertogenbosch the same year to mention some. 

Mendoza brought Wan Architect to Opglabbeek last weekend where they produced some good rounds in the 1.35/1.40 classes. This weekend the combination is competing at the CSI3* Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham. They have had a good start so far being double clear in Thursday's 1.45 class to end fifth.
