Mr. Grey

You can't miss him ...

… and you can’t walk past him without a second glance. Mr. Grey. The charmer.

This beautiful athlete knows exactly how to seduce the crowds whenever he'’s in the ring. In the Hanoverian Show Jumping Horse Championship 2015 final for six-year-old horses he gave the spectators and judges an idea of just how much potential he has. Awarded a score of 9.2, he was the undisputed best of the best at the stadium in Verden, and he also qualified for the Bundeschampionat for six-year-old show jumping horses in Warendorf in 2015 with a score of 8.8. Mr. Grey has clocked up an impressive 48 placings in 1.30m young horse classes and regular classes up to 1.35m, including 13 wins.

Mr. Grey is an elegant horse with masses of presence that embodies all the traits of a classic modern-day show jumper. He also has extremely impressive conformation and looks. Mr. Grey is both lithe and elastic, so his movements swing through his entire body. On top of that he’s the perfect gentleman with a textbook jumping technique: a powerful take-off, a constantly superb technique, an exemplary bascule and limitless scope. Over jumps he has an even, rhythmic style, he concentrates on the job from start to finish and his ears are always pricked attentively.

If we take a look at the pedigree that gave Mr. Grey his talent and conformation, the quality of his genes is obvious. His sire Contendro I is the a famous premium stallion whose genes have shaped modern performance horse breeding. He was also the youngest stallion to be included among the world’s top ten show jumping and eventing horse producers. Contendro’s progeny are regularly in the headlines around the globe. They include Codex One (Christian Ahlmann), Holiday by Solitour (Carsten- Otto Nagel), Callahan (Abdullah Al Sharbatly) and Comtessa (Hendrik Griese), Hello Annie (Scott Brash), Conthendrix (Andreé Thieme), Complemento (Ben Schröder) and Czardas (Kirsten Coe).

Dam sire Couleur Rubin won the Basle Championship and the La Baule Nations Cup with Ludger Beerbaum, in addition to countless rosettes at other big international shows around the world. Couleur Rubin by Cordalmé out of a Grannus mare never fails to pass on his exceptional genes to his internationally successful progeny. The remarkable horse, Pokerface, one of the collection at Holger Hetzel‘s Sport Horse Sales in 2009, is one of his most successful offspring in Germany with lifetime winnings of well over EUR 70,000. Picard was a much-acclaimed show jumping horse producer during his lifetime. With Pik König, Gotthard, Frustra II and Dominus in his pedigree, he was a performance stallion breeder through and through, producing countless top shop jumpers.

Resistance is futile.
Mr. Grey is a master of seduction and he’s definitely got the WOW factor.
