The 14-year-old stallion Vleut has been acquired by the French Le Groupe France Elevage and the Belgian breeding center Keros. Vleut will now focus on a breeding career.

The son of Quick Star had a very good start in the sport under Netherland's Maikel van der Vleuten, and went on to be sold to Edwina Tops-Alexander in 2011. In the spring of 2015, Abdullah Al Sharbatly bought Vleut from the Australian rider.

Today, Studforlife.com reports that Vleut has been sold and that he in the future will dedicate himself to breeding. This year he will stand at stud at L'élevage de Coquerie in Normandy.

In 2013, Vleut was third in the LGCT in Monte Carlo and in 2012 he ended second in the Grand Prix in La Coruna as well as winning the Equita Masters in Lyon in 2011.

It is Yehia-Jojo Fahmy, an Egyptian rider based in the Netherlands, that has assisted Al Sharbatly with the sale of Vleut to conclude the deal. To World of Showjumping Fahmy comments; "The group was very interested, and Abdullah wasted no time to give Vleut the best place to concentrate on his breeding career."
