More bad news for the French team: A beginning colic attack could put Flora de Mariposa’s Olympic participation in danger. Penelope Leprevost and the mare did not show up during today’s warm-up in Rio.

An announcement made on Penelope Leprevost’s Facebook page reads: “Flora has been the victim of a beginning colic last night, and we have therefore made the decision that she does not participate in the warm-up. Today she is better, but we keep a very close eye on her state of form and we will decide tomorrow whether or not to start the competition.”

With Simon Delestre’s Ryan des Hayettes already out because of an injury, the French team has already used their reserve Philippe Rozier with Rahotep de Toscane as replacement. Without Penelope Leprevost and Flora de Mariposa, the team would be left with only three pairs.
