Highlights from the BMO Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows

Last weekend's BMO Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows had a lot of special moments and here are some of them. First out a very happy Ian Millar after being clear in the second round with Dixson. All photos (c) Jenny Abrahamsson.

Hours and hours before the Nations Cup started, the audience already reserved their spots.

Beezie Madden, who rode the fantastic Darry Lou, was the rider of the day. First she was double clear in the two rounds, and then she secured the win for the USA in a two-horses jump-off.

It was Brazil's Pedro Junqueira Muylaert with Prince Royal Z MFS that met Madden in the jump-off, but they had to settle for second place.

Charlie Jacobs with Cassinja S was part of the US team, and so was....

It was only two double clears in the class, coming from Beezie Madden and Yuri Mansur Guerios on Babylotte.

Neither Christian Ahlmann nor Sergio Alvarez Moya took part of the Nations Cup, but they walked the course and had a laugh with Holger Wulschner.

Pedro Veniss could have secured the win for Brazil by being clear in the second round. But with an unfortunate rail down on Quabri de l'Isle, Brazil in the end had to settle for second place.

Saturday is the Dutch day at Spruce Meadows which could clearly be seen at the decorations.
