After an electric Sunday afternoon at Olympia, the crowds stayed put to cheer on their home heroes in the Ivy Stakes and it certainly paid off as the legendary John Whitaker went off with the win.

The 1.50m class saw six of the 29 horse-and-rider combinations that started clear their way into the jump-off, where John Whitaker (GBR) on the 15-year-old stallion Argento (Arko III x Gasper) took a very popular home win with a time of 33,17 seconds.

Ben Maher (GBR) on the 10-year-old mare Madame X (Continio x Corland) took the runner-up position with a time of 34,14 seconds, while Laura Renwick (GBR) on the 9-year-old mare MHS Washington (Obos Quality x Cavalier Royale) made the home podium complete after finishing third with a time of 35,39.

Kevin Staut (FRA) on the 9-year-old mare S&L Through the Looking Glas (Arkan x Hairos) had to settle for the fourth place after seeing a pole against the clock, also the case for Malin Baryard-Johnsson (SWE) on the 9-year-old mare H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Animo's Hallo) that finished fifth.
