Hans-Dieter Dreher has a new talent in his stable, the 9-year-old Nadal Z (Namelus R x Calvados). Nadal Z has previously been seen under Czech rider Kamil Papousek, who brought him up to 1,45 level.
“Nadal Z is a future star for me,” Hansi tells WoSJ. “I have only had him since the beginning of December, and at our first show in Salzburg he already won the CSI2* Grand Prix. Then in Frankfurt he was third in a 1,45 class. He is from Czech, and was as an 8-year-old really good in the 1.45 classes and also won one. A friend of mine, Ruedi Stüssi, who is a dealer, found Nadal for me there before Roland Zanotelli bought him for me to ride.”
“I think Nadal Z has all the capacity, and he jumps very light. He is pretty simple to ride, but we still need to work a little on the last connection. Nadal is careful and he jumps with a good manner, so I think he has a huge potential for the future. It will be really exciting to see how he will develop this year.”
